Making straw sculptures and dolls has been our expression in art and work for several years. We do it all of our own free will, choice, with great enthusiasm. Just like that…
Only the fact that you like the work you do can provide the best results and the greatest satisfaction for what you have done.

We do not dream about what it would be like if it were, but we do it now and immediately. First, an idea arises, then patient, careful and difficult manual work follows. You will not find our works anywhere else, because the ideas for the works are not viewed or borrowed from other regions and other countries, but are invented and cherished by ourselves. Each image is created so that we like it first. If you like it too, then it is our bread for the spirit, for the soul. Every kind word gives us strength and the desire to work harder. It is an invisible but tangible energy left by the smile and kind word of each guest. Thank you!

Our Story

Since 2010

As a result of our activities, the Straw Museum was established in 2010, which is the only museum of its kind in Latvia and the world. The Straw Museum houses various straw sculptures and dolls. The museum exhibits delight both domestic and foreign tourists and straw art lovers. It is constantly updated with new works of art and thematic collections. We also carry out custom-made works, decorating gardens, shop facades and interiors. Our works can be seen in various places in Latvia and outside Latvia.

Before the establishment of the Straw Museum, we actively participated in exhibitions with our works in various Latvian museums, galleries and large exhibition halls.
It should be noted that straw and hay were almost never used in the creation of works of art in Latvia until 2010. No detailed information about their use was found in news sources either. Thanks to our creative activities, we have aroused great public interest. This is evidenced by numerous publications in the press, TV and radio broadcasts.

We have introduced many new creative ideas with unprecedented inventiveness in the creation of sculptures, dolls and souvenirs. We have created many technical solutions in the production of sculptures and dolls. Certain methods of making figures have been patented by the Patent Office of the Republic of Latvia. Several years have passed, but nothing ends. We are in a whirlwind of new technical solutions, ideas and experiments. The production of these works includes many different nuances and tricks of creation in order to achieve the desired results better and faster. Each idea has been tried and tested. This excites us the most!

Thanks to our work in this area, many residents of Latvian cities and regions have begun to enjoy working with straw. In the early years, teachers of art schools, vocational schools and kindergartens actively studied with us. We have passed on the first skills to many thousands of people. And we are still doing it – training students, children, teachers and everyone who likes to be creative.

Only with persistent, enormous work and enthusiasm can simple, widely available materials be transformed into unique, never-before-seen works of art.

With our own efforts and resources, a new, unique and interesting sightseeing spot in Latvia has been created.
